Master alloy for red gold 9, 10 and 14K. The formulation of SR 14 NGE is suitable for casting in open and closed systems. The combination of deoxidizers and grain refining elements of this alloy allows the gold to copy the finest parts of the pattern and to obtain a bright tree. The colour obtained with SR 14 NGE is known as Russian red. The hardness of gold produced with SR 14 NGE can be increased with heat treatment only in 14K.
