Master alloy for red gold 9, 10 and 14K. The formulation of SR 242 P is suitable for casting in open and closed systems. This alloy is recommended when low shrinkage is required, for example in casting of big flat patterns. The colour obtained with SR 242 P is light red. The hardness of gold produced with SR 242 P cannot be increased with heat treatment.
