Master alloy for red gold 9, 10, 14 and 18K. The formulation of SR 247 A is suitable for mechanical woks. This alloy is recommended to produce solid chains and plates. The colour obtained with SR 247 A in 9, 10 and 14K is known as “Russian red”; in 18K the composition of gold produced with this alloy complies with 5N standard. The hardness of gold produced with SR 247 A can be increased with heat treatment in 14 and 18K.
