Master alloy for red gold 9, 10, 14 and 18K. The formulation of SR 351 R is suitable for universal applications. This alloy contains a high amount of grain refiners, reducing the orange-skin defect. The colour obtained with SR 351 R in 9, 10 and 14K is known as “Russian red”; in 18K the composition of gold produced with this alloy complies with 5N standard. The hardness of gold produced with SR 351 R can be increased with heat treatment in 14 and 18K.
