Master alloy for yellow gold 14 and 18K. The formulation of SY 18H 31 makes it very suitable for plates and wires production, and to CNC produced items, thanks to its high hardness after hardening. The colour obtained with SY 18H 31 is very close to 3N yellow standard, even if the silver amount is less than a standard 3N alloy; in the other hand, the high amount of deoxidizing elements requires more attention during the melting because overheating this alloy could lead to weight loss. The hardness of gold produced with SY18 H 31 can be increased with heat treatment.
